Dave Owens - myspace.com/daveowens

Raised in TN, waking up under his bed at an early age due to sneaking the radio on in the middle of the night to listen to the oldies station was an everyday occurrence for this young musician. He's already known from coast to coast, country to country in this big world having had the opportunity to travel and perform while in the US Air Force.

In lieu of his obsession with such guitarists as Slash, Jimmy Page, Wes Montgomery, and BB King, he prefers the fat sound of a Gibson style guitar and a low, growling tone that softens up as his heart opens wider. His mother says he was singing Willie Nelson's "You Were Always on My Mind" as early as 3 years old! His first memories as a performer goes back to early days of listening to Elvis Presley and the Beatles.

"There's such a magic about Elvis and the Beatles. In essence, they are the epitome of what stars are...untouchable."

Dave has been compared to other popular artists such as Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, John Mayer, and Rob Thomas among many others but there's no doubt that he has developed a sound all his own. His music ranges from down and dirty back alley blues to whispering elegant ballads of love and passion. His professional attitude and drive to take a step further in his career as a musician every day separates him from many of the other artists his age.

"It's all about that one more horsepower that slowly pulls you away from everyone else. Eventually, you"ll look back and no one's there."

MARKET WATCH

Dave has performed everywhere from coffee shops in Great Falls, MT (being known by the locals as "Coffee House Dave!") to winning the title of "American Idol:Korea" as he rose above over 350 other musicians who participated in the annual event. While on active duty in the US Air Force he was requested to perform the National Anthem on several occasions and was the number one choice at the Officer's Clubs in the U.K. for parties and promotional ceremonies. He recently signed on with Aquarium Records and is going into the studio to begin work on two albums to be released in early '06.
