MoeDeLL

"ITS ALL ABOUT THE WORDS"...acoustic/singer songwriter with beautiful melodies and haunting lyrics that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster

MoeDeLL is the former singer/songwriter of the Virginia Beach, Virginia. based band Monkey In A Mansuit. He released his first solo EP entitled “The Facade”, in May 2004. Monkey In A Mansuit’s 2002 release, “Set In Stone”, yielded two singles which received quite a bit of airplay on the east coast. On “The Facade”, MoeDeLL dives more into modern rock/singer/songwriter with darker lyrics than had previously shown on any M.I.A.M. material which was more funk/rock.

In early 2003, M.I.A.M. took a small break to regroup. While in that process, MoeDeLL started playing a few solo acoustic gigs and by the years end had done well over 200 shows on his own. Still touring solo on the east coast, MoeDeLL headed to Master Sound Studio in December 2003 to start recording what would be his first solo effort.

While the lyrics are dark and beautiful, the radio friendly format stays intact on “The Facade”. Track 2, “This Time”, is a stripped down acoustic song already receiving airplay on radio and track 1, “Sensational” is also seeing airplay. MoeDeLL has moved to Minnesota to spread the music into the midwest and has already written over half the songs for his full length album. So far the move has proven to be a success. Local radio has picked up a few of the songs off “The Facade” and the CDs are selling well at the live performances.

MoeDeLL performs as a solo acoustic artist for the most part, but also with his 4 piece band. When solo, the show definitely takes you on an emotional rollercoaster as he dives into his old funk/jazz ways from Monkey In A Mansuit, playing wah on the acoustic, and also turning out some great cover songs that you might not expect.............
